KOMO  was founded in 2004 to provide freelance architecture, restoration and project management services by Muzaffer Korcan Özbek. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Müge Özkan Özbek provided consultancy in all projects and applications of the office. KOMO turned into a sole proprietorship and revised its corporate structure in 2008.

In 2023, in parallel with the designs it handled, expanded its staff and worked with and added Architect Ahmet Sefa Öztürk and Architect & Musician Samed Doğan to the team. During this period, they designed many competitions, restoration and reconstruction of historical monuments, and buildings with a wide spectrum of functions such as hotels and cafes.
